About the role:

Zego is seeking an energetic and passionate Business Analyst Intern supporting Product Management. The candidate will gain valuable exposure to a wide-range of projects in product management, business case development, software development, and project management while working both independently and alongside a mentor to support Product initiatives. Additionally, the candidate will have a chance to support both business and technical needs by closely partnering with many roles in Product and Engineering, including Product Owners, Product Managers, and Engineering Managers. The position will provide practical real-world experience while gearing a portion of projects toward building the intern’s skills and product exposure.

What you’ll do here: 

• Learn the Product Management and Software Development Life Cycles, from ideation to product launch.

• Research, document, and analyze user workflows and business processes using tools like LucidCharts, Google Docs/Sheets, Trello, Looker, Jira, and Aha!

• Collaborate with UX, Product Management, and Engineering to translate complex business needs into concise and clear product deliverables to create value for Zego.

• Learn how to establish Product epics and breakdown work in deliverable user stories with BDD.

• Hands-on work experience where you’ll perform job duties similar to those of full-time entry level employees

• You'll have a supportive manager and work team who are committed to helping you learn and grow your skills in your field of study

• You'll also have learning and development opportunities to gain core business skills that will help give you a leg-up in your future jobs

About you:

• Rising Sophomore to Graduate Students currently enrolled in college or university.

• Interns must be willing to attend a two-day orientation in Eastern Standard Time.

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field

• Experience with Excel or Google Sheets with an inclination for data gathering and analytics

• Quick learner with exceptional organizational and prioritization skills to deliver on multiple projects

• Possess a passion for technology and curiosity for innovation

• Highly motivated, engaging, and able to work individually and within a team environment effectively.

• Able to clearly and effectively ask questions and communicate on design processes, ideas, and solutions

• Bonus points if you have an understanding of Agile product development methodologies

• Bonus points if you have an understanding of other BI tools and systems (Looker, Tableau, etc)

The US base salary for this position is $22-$25/hour. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
