Your Career
Seeking an experienced in-house counsel to join our Global Ethics Team as Director of Compliance. If you are a leader with a can-do attitude and a great sense of humor, who is looking to join the world’s best cybersecurity company, we have a job waiting for you. This role will provide an opportunity to roll up your sleeves and help supervise a team responsible for all global anti-corruption efforts, adoption of compliance tools, implementation of policies and compliance controls, and the design of training and compliance communications. This position includes a broad range of responsibilities, including: ensuring compliance with the Palo Alto Networks Global Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and attendant policies; partnering with cross-functional teams in implementation of compliance controls; support for projects relating to anti-money laundering, competition, and ESG compliance; periodic global risk assessment efforts; monitoring and testing of high-risk transactions; support for insider risk, anti-fraud, and other programs. This a new position that will be pivotal in ensuring the Company remains compliant with all applicable laws and regulatory requirements in a dynamic and constantly evolving legal landscape.
You will work to support our Sales, Channel, and Marketing organizations, partnering with Internal Audit, Information Security, Finance, and other assurance functions in supporting the Legal Department’s efforts to ensure compliance with a broad spectrum of laws and regulations.
Your Impact
- You will be pivotal in helping to enhance the existing global compliance program, including supporting cross-functional efforts in every market where Palo Alto Networks operates
- Act as the Company’s subject matter expert for anti-corruption and related compliance efforts, including promotion of a vibrant Speak Up culture, and driving employee engagement and compliance awareness
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the business, including providing support for the channel inspection program and overall third-party risk management efforts
- Help to create, implement, and lead global compliance communication and training efforts relating to various compliance-related topics
- Draft, update, and support implementation of compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Assist in the performance of periodic compliance risk assessments, contract reviews, and compliance controls
- Support preparation of executive updates, training, and communications, including briefings for members of the executive team, audit committee, and external auditors
- Oversee and ensure a risk-based, consistent approach to compliance disclosures
- Partner and support cross-functional compliance engagement with internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications
Your Experience
- A U.S. law degree from an ABA accredited law school and an active membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state bar, with eligibility for admission for Multijurisdictional Practice in California or equivalent military experience required
- Minimum of 8+ years of anti-corruption and general compliance experience
- General public company compliance experience and a strong understanding of the DOJ’s Evaluation of Corporate Compliance Programs and related guidance
