Prep Cook/Dishwasher

About the Role: 

If you are interested in contributing to engaging work, we are interested in talking to you! We are currently looking to add a Prep Cook/Dishwasher to our Cafe team. This team is dedicated to providing excellent food and customer service to every customer.  

What you'll do:  

• Provide general support for Nu Skin's food service needs 

• Wash and store dishes, banquet equipment and kitchen equipment while maintaining general kitchen cleanliness 

• Storing and rotating of product, and general prep work for hot and cold line 

• Able to operate standard kitchen equipment (e.g. ovens, steamers, slicers, steam wells, dishwashers, etc.) 

• Wash and put away dishes in compliance with health department requirements 

• Preparing soups, sauces and other menu prep items according to standardized recipes 

• Collect dishes/glasses daily from other areas of the campus for cleaning 

What you'll need: 

• Read, understand and use safety procedures of kitchen equipment 

• Acquire and maintain a Utah Food Handlers’ Permit 

• Understand and execute accurate dish-washing and sanitizing practices 

• Understand and execute accurate food rotation practices 

• Perform basic prep work (i.e. knife work, simple recipes, etc.) according to standardized recipes and practices 

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally; frequently lift objects overhead 

• Able to work cleanly and efficiently throughout shift 

• Utilize prep sheets to fulfill hot and cold line mise en place needs 

• Communicate effectively with back and front of house staff 

• Read, write and speak English fluently 

• Other language proficiency appreciated, but not required
