As a crucial member of our dynamic team, you will play a pivotal role in our General Medicine/Adult Safety Unit, delivering exceptional healthcare and making a positive difference in patient outcomes. On this unit, you will care for patients under medical observation, some of whom also have some Behavioral Health needs.

Position Highlights:

  • Sign-on Bonus:$15,000 sign-on bonuseligible position, provided the candidate meets the eligibility requirements!
  • Shift Schedule: Full time days or nights, 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am, with weekend rotation

What You'll Need:

  • Graduation from accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
  • Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North CarolinaBoard of Nursing
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire for Adult Critical Care, Adult ED
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 1 year of hire for Network ED, Peds ED, PICU and NICU, and other areas per unit guidelines
  • Ability to provide direct and indirect patient care
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Solid written and oral communication skills

As a skilled and compassionateRN, you will play a pivotal role in our healthcare team, leading the coordination of patient care from assessment to evaluation. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Patient/Family Centered Care: Utilize the nursing process to deliver compassionate care, placing patients and their families at the center of every decision. Conduct thorough assessments, develop nursing diagnoses,identify outcomes, plan interventions, and coordinate care to promoteoptimal health and wellbeingin accordance with the policies of WFBH.
  2. Patient Discharge & Referrals:Participates in multidisciplinary discharge planning referrals to hospital and community resources as needed.
