Must-haves:
- Bachelor's of Science degree in System Engineering or related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of System Safety engineering principles and practices for military application
- Advanced knowledge Software Safety engineering principles and practices
- Advanced knowledge of safety critical systems
- Advanced knowledge of system and subsystem risk evaluation and analyses
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of MIL-STD-882E
- Advanced knowledge and application of the Joint Software Systems Safety Engineering Handbook (JSSSEH)
- Experience with Functional Hazard Analyses (FHA)
- Experience evaluating software contribution and level of rigor (LOR)
- Experience participating in a highly collaborative multi-disciplinary team
- Experience planning and overseeing execution of system and software safety development efforts
- Strong organization skills and work ethic
Preferred:
Knowledge of Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)
Knowledge of Static/Dynamic code analyses and tools
Knowledge of US Navy/NAVAIR/ guidance
Knowledge of Design Assurance and Agile development
Familiarity with bi-directional traceability
Familiarity with software development processes
Familiarity with Verification, Validation, and Quality Assurance
Background in the Aerospace and/or Defense Industry
Ability to establish and track key Technical Performance Measurements (TPM)
Progressive experience leading baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of high impact trade studies and other measures

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $104,827.91 - $144,138.38.
