The Team:

Beaconsfield District Health Service

  • We are located in the historical town of Beaconsfield, a scenic 45 minutes drive from Launceston. National Parks, beaches and historical sites are all within a short drive from the town.

  • Beaconsfield District Health Service provides care to a complex patient cohort, Respite clients, Aged Care residents, Emergency presentations and sub-acute clients.

The Role:

As the Registered Nurse you would be expected to attend group handover and bedside handover, you may be expected to allocate residents and patient to other nurses on shift.

  • You will be required to check S8 and S4 medication with other nursing staff.
  • You will be required to attend to ADLS for the residents and patients.
  • You will attend to the preparation and dispensing of medications.
  • Complete Doctor rounds.
  • Follow up results for pathology, organise referrals for physiotherapy, occupation therapy, speech therapy etc.
  • Complete assessments as needed is a timely manner.
  • Document in the progress notes as required.
  • Attend staff meetings.
  • Take direction from senior staff and Nurse Unit Manager.

Details of appointment:

Fixed term part time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working up to 32 hours per fortnight, 2 February 2025 until 31 January 2026.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $78,179 to $105,995 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

Access to the Grade 4 salary range $99,455- $105,995 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type

Salary Packaging:

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible. 

Regional Allowances

  • Remote and Rural Professional Development Allowance of an additional salary allowance of 4%

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
