About the Team
This position is an integral member of a team of Wafer Fab Operators reporting to a Manufacturing Supervisor at our NC Wafer Fab plant in Greensboro, NC.  The NC Wafer Fab plant is responsible for delivering high quality, efficient manufacturing and advanced technologies that enable Qorvo to provide innovative RF solutions to its industry-leading wireless device and network customers.

 

About the Role 

As a Wafer Fab Operator, you will add value by performing operations that fabricate integrated circuits on wafers of semiconductor materials. These operations are carried out with focus on Safety, Quality, and Efficiency. Types of tasks may include the set-up and operation of tools or chemical processes, data collection and entry, electrical testing of devices, and quality inspections. This is a full-time, non-exempt position working a 2-2-3 work week schedule at 12 hours each shift.

 

 

What You Will Do

Relying on your strong sense of reliability, enthusiasm, and attention to detail, you will:

 

  • Perform manual operations on wafer fabrication equipment and work closely with the factory management team to prioritize job tasks
  • Handle chemicals, microscope inspections, run precision equipment, and process wafers to comply with specifications and other requirements
  • Attend shift pass-down meetings and communicate daily activities
  • Reads, comprehends, and follows required safety policies
  • Assist process engineers, depending on skill set, in performing experimental procedures
  • Update documentation on procedures on an as-needed basis
