Job Description
The U.S. Bancorp Global Security Operations Center is responsible for the continuous monitoring of cybersecurity threats and responding in real time to analyze and properly disposition those events. The Information Security Specialist is responsible for independently performing operational monitoring and triage of security alerts generated from tools including network and endpoint intrusion detection tools such as NDR, NIDS, HIDS, firewall, network, and system/event logs. Actions are guided by Standard Operating Procedures and activities will require minimal direction/oversight from management.The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there’s an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days at one of the following locations:
- Knoxville, TN (Preferred)
- Minneapolis, MN
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- College degree or equivalent industry experience and certifications, with proficiency in Security Operations Center activities
- One to three years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, or in network or information technology environments
We are looking for a resource to do the following:
Document security policies and procedures, ensuring comprehensive coverage of security-related activities and requirements.
Support risk assessment and data security procedures and products by providing implementation support and ensuring their effectiveness.
Evaluate new and proposed security systems and technologies, staying updated with industry advancements and best practices.
Collaborate with the Enterprise Key Management Organization to maintain the security of cryptographic keys and systems.
Monitor and document key management lifecycle events in accordance with internal policies, Elavon, and industry regulations.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with company and industry requirements related to cryptographic key management.
Participate in on-call rotations and implementation projects that may involve work outside normal working hours.
