We’re looking for an experienced professional with deep expertise in floodplain management, hazard mitigation, and FEMA compliance to support our clients’ planning, permitting, and resilience initiatives. Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will provide senior-level technical leadership on projects related to floodplain management, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, and hazard mitigation planning. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure regulatory compliance, quality, and client satisfaction.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing floodplain management procedures and permitting processes

• Preparing and reviewing compliance documentation in accordance with FEMA, NFIP, and CRS standards

• Provide subject-matter expertise on program areas such as hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, floodplain mapping, and technical reviews

• Supporting hazard mitigation planning and resilience initiatives for municipal and regional clients

• Providing subject-matter expertise on CRS compliance and flood risk reduction strategies

• Delivering clear, high-quality written reports and technical presentations to clients and stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field

• Minimum 25 years of relevant experience

• Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) required

• Proven expertise in FEMA guidelines, CRS compliance, and hazard mitigation planning

• Strong background in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and floodplain mapping

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to engage clients and stakeholders

Compensation

This is a contract position with an hourly rate range of $92–$100 per hour, based on project-approved rates and experience.
