The Net-Zero Industrial Strategy Lab at Johns Hopkins University is looking for a Research Assistant to support our work advancing research and action on net-zero industrial policy. The Lab is currently contributing to projects on battery metals, sustainable aviation fuel, hydrogen, clean power, steel, aluminum, mass timber, and value-added agriculture. Expertise and/or experience in any of these is desirable, but strong research skills are all that is required.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- The research associate will lead data collection and analysis for projects on net-zero supply chain strategies.
- Provide specialized Research Assistance to Professor Bentley Allan. Including but not limited to,
- The analysis of net-zero supply chains.
- Data management.
- Compilation of annotated bibliographies.
- Proofreading and editing of manuscripts.
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience with Microsoft Word.
- Excellent written and oral skills and the ability to communicate effectively are essential, strong organizational, administrative, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of net-zero supply chains, energy technologies, and business models.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
- Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
- Some related education and experience (environmental science, engineering, policy analysis, finance, business).

Starting Salary Range: $17.20 - $30.30 HRLY (Commensurate w/exp.)
