(ADI)</p><p>Analog Devices’ Edge AI team is on a mission to redefine how machines perceive and interact with the world. We’re building real-time, intelligent systems that combine world-class sensor technology with cutting-edge AI — at the Edge, where milliseconds matter.</p><p>We are seeking a <b>Staff Robotics Simulation Engineer</b> to join our innovative team and play a pivotal role in the development of high-fidelity simulations for fixed-arm robots and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs).</p><p>In this role, you will leverage your extensive expertise in simulation platforms to develop custom sensor models and create synthetic data for advanced AI applications. You will collaborate with a talented team of hardware, AI, and fellow simulation engineers to drive the future of robotics simulation, with a focus on <b>closing the <span>simulation-to-reality</span> gap</b> to ensure that our simulations accurately reflect real-world performance.</p><p></p><p><b>Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li><p>Design and <span>implement custom</span> sensor models in various simulation platforms.</p></li><li><p>Oversee the creation and optimization of simulations <b>for fixed-arm robots</b> and <b>AMRs</b> to facilitate synthetic data generation for training AI models.</p></li><li><p>Utilize<b> Universal Scene Description (USD)</b> to create and manage simulation assets effectively.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate <span>cross-functionally with</span> hardware, AI, and simulation engineers to ensure seamless integration of simulation data into real-world applications.</p></li><li><p>Drive the development of simulation frameworks that enhance the realism and accuracy of robotic simulations, actively working to close the <span>simulation-to-reality</span> gap.</p></li><li><p>Stay updated with the latest advancements in robotics simulation, sensor technologies, and AI to guide the team in adopting innovative solutions.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><ul><li><p>M.S. or Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.</p></li><li><p><b>5+ years of experience</b> in robotics, simulation, or related fields, with at least <b>3+ years</b> directly building or extending simulation platforms for robotic systems.</p></li><li><p>Proven expertise in using <b>NVIDIA Isaac Sim</b> or other common simulation platforms.</p></li><li><p>Strong proficiency in <b>Python</b>, <b>C++</b> and <b>ROS/ROS2</b>, with experience integrating simulation into real robotic stacks.</p></li><li><p>Hands-on experience with <b>sensor simulation</b>, especially ToF, RGB-D, LiDAR, or IMUs.</p></li><li><p>Solid understanding of the <b>sim-to-real gap</b> and techniques to reduce it (e.g., noise modeling, domain randomization, physics-based modeling).</p></li><li><p></p></li></ul><p><b>Bonus Experience</b></p><ul><li><p>Experience with <b>machine learning</b> and its applications in robotics.</p></li><li><p>Contributions to open-source simulation projects or tools relevant to robotics.</p></li><li><p>Understanding of sensor design and signal processing principles.</p></li><li><p>Proven track record of delivering <b>simulation-driven workflows</b> for AI model training, system validation, or perception testing.</p></li><li><p></p></li></ul><p><b>Why Join Us?</b></p><p>Join ADI’s Edge AI team to help create truly intelligent edge systems — where sensing, learning, and acting happen in real time.
