Full Time One Vision Thrift - Store Development Manager - Clear Lake, IA

One Vision Thrift Store is seeking to hire a Full Time - Store Development Manager - Our Store Development Manager is responsible for leading the execution of our store expansion plan and managing existing thrift store operations.

Essential Job Functions:

• Identify potential locations for expansion, liaise with agencies, and conduct feasibility studies.
• Coordinate the outfitting of new locations and ensure all necessary licenses are in place.
• Project manages the setup and training of new locations, working with various departments to ensure proper setups.
• Oversee daily operations, manage budgets, and set performance objectives.
• Recruit, train, and support store managers, conducting regular performance appraisals.
• Participate in marketing strategies and market research.
• Plan, evaluate, and optimize operations for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Prepare reports on operations and finances to guide store decision-making.
• Ensure operations align with the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

Job requirements:

• High school diploma with at least 7 years of supervisory experience, or Associate's degree in a related field with at least 5 years of supervisory experience, or Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of supervisory experience.
• At least 5 years in the retail or customer service field; thrift experience preferred.
• Flexible schedule with the ability to work some nights and weekends.
• Experience in starting or opening a business is a significant plus.
• Ability to be on your feet all day and to perform physical activities on the job, which include kneeling, lifting large items such as furniture, bending, carrying, walking, climbing and/or reaching on a frequent basis.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
