The Emergency Management Division consists of three sections—operations, preparedness, and financial administration. Each section works collaboratively across the agency and with external partners to manage emergency responses and reduce the impacts of disasters. Additionally, DEMA is the headquarters for the Arizona National Guard, the primary combat reserve of the United States military. The Arizona Army and Air National Guard provide military forces and equipment to accomplish community, state, and federal missions.</span></em></span></h2> </div> <h3 dir="ltr"><span><strong>ORDNANCE HANDLER (FACILITY MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR)</strong></span></h3> <div> <span>Job Location:</span> </div> <div> <h4><strong>Work Location: CAMP NAVAJO, BELLEMONT, ARIZONA</strong></h4> </div> <div> <span>Posting Details:</span> </div> <div> <h4><span><span>Salary: UP TO $27.54/HOUR (DOE) <br/></span></span></h4> <h4><span><span>Grade: 20<br/></span></span></h4> <h4><span><span>Closing Date: August 14, 2026</span></span></h4> </div> <div> <span>Job Summary:</span> </div> <div> <p><span>The Ordnance Handler (OH) performs Conventional (Conv.) and/or Large Rocket Motor (LRM) Operations; capable of performing all tasks related to the safe and efficient shipping, receiving, storage, inventory, housekeeping, and related duties for Arms, Ammunition and Explosive (AA&amp;E) commodities. AA&amp;E normally consists of (but is not limited too) Small Arms Ammunition, Pyrotechnics, Small Rockets, Assorted Hazardous Material items (referred to as Conv.Ops), Large Scale AA&amp;E commodities such as; Minuteman, Trident, Castor, etc. Rocket Motors (referred to as LRM Ops). OH also performs similar duties with Non-Hazardous Materials such as asset support stocks, equipment, and other customer related commodities.<br/><br/>Increased customer requirements will/may include the need for OH to perform specialized handling of AA&amp;E such as disassembly of arm/disarm and safe devices, nozzle removal, exudate cleanup, component installations/removals as specified by customer technical documents. OH conducting these tasks must perform so with the utmost care and consideration for the risks associated.<br/><br/>The OH performs work within the Ammunition Storage Area (ASA) which will place the individual within the Explosive Safety Quantity Distances (ESQD) Arc of a Potential Explosion Site (PES).</span></p> </div> <div> <span>Job Duties:</span> </div> <div> <p><span><strong>Responsibilities include:</strong><br/>• Perform operational tasks, in compliance with Standing Operating Procedures or other similar task guidance procedures, for the safe and efficient execution of shipping, receiving, and warehousing operations relating to all customer commodities (AA&amp;E and Non-AA&amp;E). Ensure all tasks are conducted in accordance with DOD, federal, state and/or local regulatory guidance. Report any and all non-compliance issues relating to safety through proper supervisory channels.<br/>• Operate assigned Material Handling Equipment (MHE), Weight Handling Equipment (WHE), Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) and other associated tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner, following all regulatory mandates. Perform Post Operation Inspections and file reports as applicable.<br/>• Perform Prior to Use (PTU) and Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) on assigned MHE, WHE, CMV's, and other AA&amp;E assorted tools and equipment in accordance with regulatory guidelines. Ensure all equipment is serviceable and safe to use in all operations. Complete PTU/PMCS documentation and file in accordance with departmental equipment maintenance procedures.<br/>• Perform general housekeeping to ensure cleanliness, orderliness and user level maintenance of all associated departmental facilities and surrounding work areas. <br/>• Perform specialized handling of AA&amp;E such as disassembly of arm/disarm and safe devices, nozzle removal, exudate cleanup, component installations/removals as specified by customer technical documents. <br/>• Maintain AA&amp;E and Non-AA&amp;E certification eligibility through the performance and attendance of required sustainment training in accordance with applicable Training, Qualification, and Certification Program. Read and review all regulatory documentation relating to assigned AA&amp;E and Non-AA&amp;E operational tasks, ensuring all updates and revisions are understood. Keep current with any changes or updates to documentation. <br/>• When/as necessary, will/may direct AA&amp;E and Non-AA&amp;E operations in support of directorate goals and objectives when dedicated leadership is unavailable (i.e. supervising operations while crew-ch
