Job Description

As a Security Professional - Healthcare Site - Multiple Shifts in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment for everyone on site. Your presence and attention to detail will contribute to a sense of comfort and support for patients, visitors, and staff. You will conduct routine patrols both inside and around the facility, remain highly visible, and respond promptly to any security-related situations or requests for assistance. Exceptional customer service and communication skills are essential, as you will frequently interact with people from all walks of life. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license in the job state is required. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to all individuals at the healthcare location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate de-escalation techniques as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and report any suspicious behavior or security-related incidents.
• Assist visitors, patients, and staff with directions and information, maintaining a professional and approachable presence.
• Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
• Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations or other urgent situations at the healthcare location.

Minimum Requirements:

• You must be at least 21 years of age.
• You must provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• You must possess a valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• You must be able to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
