Job Description

The Strategic Corporate Partner Manager develops maintains a strategic partnership framework between Bosch and North America based companies active in the Software, IT and AI space (such as hyperscalers Google, Amazon, Microsoft). He/She will work in tandem with a team located at Bosch’s headquarters in Germany coordinating the Bosch global approach to such partners and the regional Bosch business units to develop value propositions for these partnerships that will lead to new business opportunities, synergies and innovation initiatives. The position requires a strategic thinker who can identify opportunities, negotiate agreements, and execute plans to achieve agreed-upon goals. The Strategic Partner Manager must be an excellent communicator, able to develop relationships with key stakeholders, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve common objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Management

Support the development and maintenance of a strategic partnership framework that outlines our company's approach to partnerships in close collaboration with the central partner mgmt. group in Germany and the relevant business units, including:

  • Defining the partner value proposition,
  • Supporting the development of success metrics and ensure consistent tracking
  • Identifying criteria for selecting additional regional and/or   partners
  • Consolidate, "horizontalize", and share Best Practices.

Launch and support initiatives with the partners and relevant Bosch business units to achieve goals of partnership (identify opportunities and evaluate synergy potentials) such as:

  • Digital transformation
  • Key projects with the partner to drive business development,
  • Co-innovation
  • Cost benefits

Leverage available tools and methods to identify the right partner for the business need, e.g. Evaluation Sheet by the Bosch central partner management group (G7/PJ-DO-SPP) and perform health checks regarding the progress of the partnership .

  • Assess potential new strategic partners and review existing partners.
  • Initiate exit process when appropriate for a partner.

 

Relationship Management:

  • Be the key contact to the strategic partner, providing transparency of activities internally/externally, building and maintaining mutually beneficial partnerships at corporate level and optimize relationships with the respective stakeholders.
  • Drive result focused collaboration and project management of joint project activities.
  • Support contract negotiations in alignment with the respective purchase and/or partner manager in the Bosch units.
  • Act as an escalation instance for the partner manager(s) and strategic partner to the appropriate level-up to Divisional and corporate management levels.
  • Prepare, moderate and follow-up on C-level executive meetings with the strategic partner.

 

Network Management

  • Establish and manage an active internal expert network across Bosch and external network at partner organizations.
  • Establish a common and aligned strategy across Bosch for the strategic partner.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Management, Engineering, or associated fields
  • 5-7 years of experience in Account management or sales role in the IT or software industry with a proven track record of developing new business in the role
  • 3+ years of experience in Software and IT ecosystem architectures, such as ERP and MES systems, AI and AI related applications, large corporate IT ecosystems

 

Preferred:  

  • Working Experience with a Software/ IT company such as Google, Amazon, Microsoft or similar
  • Internal or external consulting experience
  • Passion for solving complex and challenging
