As a Junior Credit Investigator at Equifax, you will be responsible for resolving customer requests and being the key point of contact between the client and consumer. The Credit Investigator position is responsible for acting as a liaison between the client, consumer, and Equifax by resolving customers’ requests. Individual contributors with complete investigations and issue updated or corrected reports to clients. To do this, you will use various methods of investigation including telephone interviews, email contacts, web-based research, faxing
contacts, and researching data repositories such as FACT and eOSCAR.

What you’ll do

  • You will Perform credit-based research tasks ranging from the navigation of automated systems, conducting online research, and performing conference calls between
    consumers and creditors.

  • You will utilize experience and expertise to provide insights to operations leadership.

  • Operate a diverse range of tasks, moving between processes with the mentorship of management.

  • You will perform clerical, phone, operational or manual work.

  • You will validate/complete and document requested data through phone, fax or email contact.

  • Identify and troubleshoot issues within own scope of work.


What experience you need 
 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 1+ years of Customer Service experience.

  • Strong emphasis on collaboration and team building.

  • Ability to deal with people in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

  • Creative problem resolution skills utilizing established options.

  • Taking on extra assignments that might involve learning new things and developing skills.

  • Understanding of PC functions, and ability to learn/understand internal Verification Services technology/systems.

  • In office Monday - Friday from 9:30AM to 6:00PM and pay is $18/hour.

  • Training hours will vary.
