Assistant Manager – Customer Service Location: Madison, WI (2105 Zeier Rd – East Towne area)
Schedule: Full-time. Branch hours typically 8:30 or 9:00 AM to 5:30 or 6:00 PM. Some evenings (up to 7–8 PM) and standard Saturdays may be required. Do you enjoy helping people and working toward clear goals? This is a hands-on, customer-facing role in a small branch environment where you’ll help customers, grow accounts and contribute directly to branch results. You’ll work with customers both in person and over the phone while supporting daily operations and performance goals. The Assistant Manager – Customer Service role is one of the most important positions in our branch network. Team members work in small offices (typically 2–3 employees) and play a key role in customer satisfaction, account growth, and overall branch success. This role does not initially manage employees. It is designed as a development role to build skills and experience in preparation for future leadership opportunities. No prior finance experience is required. We provide paid training, predictable pay increases, monthly bonus opportunities, and a clear path for long-term growth. - Provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone
- Build and grow customer accounts through repeat business and referrals
- Make inbound and outbound phone calls, including follow-ups on past-due accounts
- Support customers through collection conversations with professionalism and empathy
- Prepare and process loan applications and close approved loans
- Prepare personal income tax returns as part of branch services
- Obtain and maintain eligibility for a PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number)
- Assist with daily branch operations, cash handling, and recordkeeping
- Market the branch locally and build relationships with nearby businesses
- Support branch goals and help maintain a clean, professional office environment
- Monthly bonus potential up to $300
- $0.50/hour increase at 6 months
- Additional $0.50/hour increase at 12 months
- Bonus eligibility up to $800/month after one year
