THE JOB:  

As an On Call Front Desk Clerk at Mandalay Bay, you are an essential part of guest experience. Your approachable, and personable demeanor, coupled with your dedication to provide delightful check-in experiences for guests will set the stage for the memories that they can carry with them well past their stay with us. By delivering top-notch guest experiences, you play a crucial role in elevating the overall guest experience.  

THE STARTING RATE: $19.00

THE DAY-TO-DAY:  

• Welcome guests to the property and the MGM Resorts by providing memorable service and anticipating guest needs   

• Respond and assist with guest conflict resolutions in a timely manner and anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and resolve any potential challenges  

• Deliver a seamless and professional experience managing early and late property arrivals/departures and walk-ins and all other tasks associated with guest room check-ins and check-outs  

• Enhance guest experience by offering upgraded accommodations where available in accordance with authorized programs and processes   

• Partner with Housekeeping and other related departments to meet guest expectations and special requests

• Ensure correct charges and credits are posted, collect payments, handle cash and credit transactions, and demonstrate responsibility in balancing all cash and cash equivalent transactions

• Control and issue keys while promoting security, privacy, and confidentiality of all guests  

• Assist Guest Services Representatives as needed

• Balance room inventory in advance and identify and resolve any over-commitments by room types

• Review out of order rooms for accurate return dates; report any room maintenance problems to management, housekeeping and/or engineering

• Run all daily reports that are required to complete necessary job duties such as group arrivals and departures, housekeeping briefs, and trace reports

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:  

• Is a minimum of 18 years of age

• Has a high school diploma, GED or equivalent educational experience

• Has strong communication skills and can multitask efficiently, providing information, answering inquiries, and addressing concerns in a professional manner in a resort setting  

• Has prior experience using Opera, Amadeus, Rex, Tangerine, UA, or VisionLine

• Has prior experience as a Concierge, Guest Services Representative, Hotel Front Desk Agent, or VIP Lounge Representative

• Prior experience in a cash handling role

• Has a flexible schedule and availability to work various shifts, to include day, swing and grave as well as weekends and holidays

• Bilingual
