Position Summary

The Product Manager role is responsible for the product developed within their business unit, setting the vision, and developing the roadmap to achieve it. This includes defining high-level features that are key to the product's success to ensure they deliver the expected business value.

The Demand Planning Solution Product Manager works with a wide variety of internal stakeholders — including Demand Planning, Commercial Planning, Order Management, Procurement, Finance, and IDS teams — throughout the product development cycle. The Product Manager must partner with the Product Owner to engage business stakeholders, understand their goals, and deliver valuable business outcomes. You will leverage your industry, technical, and functional experience to define and support the evolution of applications by leading internal Product and IDS partner teams to deliver solutions focused on global trends, innovation, and leading practices that generate efficiencies and business value aligned with strategic corporate goals.

A well-qualified Product Manager will have experience delivering software-based value-add solutions, managing a broad set of stakeholders, developing vision/strategy/objectives/backlog roadmaps, using Agile principles and processes, and experience with Supply Chain.

Responsibilities

  • IDS Architect for Demand Planning: Design, build, and deliver technical solutions aligned with the product technology evolution roadmap.
  • Product Roadmap: Develop and maintain an excellent understanding of the IDS product roadmap by working closely with business stakeholders, evaluating user feedback/needs, and looking at technology trends.
  • Insight and Best Practices: Source additional insight and best practices to design, plan, and scope optimal product functionality.
  • Strategy and Vision: Build the strategy and vision for Supply Chain Solution Line products to improve business efficiencies.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Present ideas with supporting data to align the technical team, leadership, and stakeholders to a compelling vision for the product’s success.
  • Technology Innovation: Proactively maintain knowledge of technology innovation.
  • New Ideas and Propositions: Work closely with relevant business functions to develop/test new ideas and propositions for product development to influence and obtain buy-in.
  • Business Value Identification: Continuously identify business value in alignment with strategic priorities, financial benefits, and stakeholder needs.
  • Value Articulation: Articulate the value of the product through usage, standard/automated operational metrics, and financial performance metrics.
  • Product Strategy and Vision: Develop and maintain IDS product strategy and vision.
  • Product Roadmap Translation: Translate product strategy into a product roadmap, identifying and generating new ideas that drive business value and improve user experience.
  • Technology Enablers/Constraints: Work closely with other IDS Architects and development teams to understand the technology enablers/constraints for new product ideas.
  • Communication: Ensure strong ability to communicate priorities, developments, and changes to stakeholders across the business, understanding the audience and appropriately delivering the message.
  • Iteration Goals: Set and communicate iteration goals and content of prioritized stories.
  • Vendor Engagement: Engage with other software technologies and vendors to understand new capabilities and functionality for potential enhancements.
  • Funding Model/Business Case: Build funding models/business cases for new product development.
  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data to drive innovation and decision-making.
