Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The Medical Assistant will support physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality patient care. This role involves both administrative and clinical responsibilities, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties:
- Greet and prepare patients for examinations.
- Record patient histories, vital signs, and medical information accurately.
- Assist physicians during exams, procedures, and minor surgeries.
- Administer medications and injections as directed.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens; perform basic lab tests.
- Conduct EKGs, wound care, and other basic procedures.
- Ensure examination rooms are clean, stocked, and properly sanitized.
Administrative Duties:
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
- Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR).
- Handle patient inquiries and provide instructions as directed by providers.
- Process insurance forms, referrals, and billing information.
- Coordinate communication between patients, physicians, and other staff.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred).
- Current certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Prior experience in a medical office or clinical setting (preferred).
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate empathy with patients.
