AHEAD is looking for a Warehouse Lead to join the team in Libertyville, IL. The primary responsibility for this position will be to lead the assigned warehouse staff to achieve departmental targets while maintaining a safe and efficient operation and executing services to meet AHEAD's quality standards. The Warehouse Lead will report to the Warehouse Supervisor.

AHEAD is looking for a Warehouse Lead to join the team in Libertyville, IL. The primary responsibility for this position will be to lead the assigned warehouse staff to achieve departmental targets while maintaining a safe and efficient operation and executing services to meet AHEAD's quality standards. The Warehouse Lead will report to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee all immediate departmental activities and carry out team lead responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures and applicable laws
- Effectively drive continuous and quality related improvements
- Actively engage in project management responsibilities and support a wide range of warehouse group projects
- Create customized Excel reports on warehouse productivity and effectively communicate reports to Supervisor and other Warehouse staff
- Resolve employee issues, ensure positive employee relations, and promote and enforce all company policies fairly and consistently
- Analyze and solve problems or assist other team members in finding solutions
- Inform assigned employees of warehouse and material problems and coordinates with support groups to resolve problems affecting schedules
- Responsible for assisting in achievement of department goals and standards
- Develop and maintain positive peer and leadership relationships
- Responsible for communicating with vendors on issue, development, and negotiating rates at times
- Ensure the rules and regulation of US export and import procedures are followed
- Direct efforts toward the reduction of process variation while ensuring that warehouse products and services meet quality requirements
- Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent or 2-5 years in a Warehouse environment
- 1 – 2 years of experience in a senior or leadership role is preferred
- Ability to resolve conflicts, meet deadlines, manage production activities and effectively multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Proven experience making day to day decisions that affect the overall quality of products and processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Microsoft Excel experience is required
- Standup Forklift experience is required
