Job Description

Become a NBCU Local Chicago intern and learn broadcasting and digital from our world-class teams!

Intern will work with producers in gathering & editing content for the NBCU Local Chicago (NBC / Telemundo / NBC Sports) Owned Television Stations entity including NBC Chicago’s FAST channel. Ideal candidate would have more knowledge of DSLR cameras and non-linear editing. Candidate should also have a passion for storytelling / gathering with a focus on Chicago and the suburbs. Candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to bring original / local ideas to the production team.

Qualifications

Summer 2023 Internship Program:

• Recent graduates will NOT be eligible for this program

Basic Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the length of the program and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress
• Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits)
• Ability to edit in Adobe Premiere
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal
• IN-PERSON/HYBRID must be willing to work in Chicago, IL

Desired Characteristics:

• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
• Students with class standing of junior or above preferred
• Emphasis on media managament
• Familiarity with DSLR Camera equipment and prosumer audio equipment
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred
