About the role
General Overview: Under Direct supervision of the VP of Maintenance, the Region Maintenance Manager will Ensure Organization, Participation and Supervision of all maintenance operations in a Region (Multiple Districts).
Responsibilities:
- Directs District Maintenance Managers in supervising all maintenance operations for the Region.
- Directly Responsible for Maintenance Budget and Adhering to Budget.
- Directly Responsible for Reporting Maintenance Budget and any Variances.
- Ensures appropriateness of work order requests, timeline and work is completed.
- Ensures Adherence to company policies regarding purchasing procedures.
- Directs Maintenance Managers in planning, organizing, coordinating, evaluating, and supervising the work of assigned staff.
- Directs Maintenance Managers in Inspecting work in progress, oversees requisitions and ensures timely completion of maintenance projects.
- Responsible for surveys, coordinates and participates in development of time and cost estimates for major repairs.
- Ensures District Maintenance Groups Adhere to company standards of maintenance and preventative maintenance for equipment.
- Ensures District Maintenance Groups maintain transportation records and prepares reports as required.
- Ensures all necessary maintenance records are recorded and accurate.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Other Requirements:
- Must possess ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Sensitive to confidential information.
- Must Possess Strong Communication Skills
- Ten (10) years of successful experience in the maintenance, and/or transportation fields;
- Five (5) years Supervisory experience in Maintenance Operations.
- Ability to Learn and use ERP (NAV or SAP)

- Able to read, speak and write English.
- Able to work under stressful conditions at times.
- Strong work ethics of integrity and honesty striving for excellence in all activities employing accompanying communication.
- Employee is regularly required to stand, walk, kneel, stoop, squat, pull, push, climb, crouch, crawl, talk, hear and see.
- Exposure to moderate noise levels, vibrations, and bright lights
- Exposure to all climate types: hot and cold temperatures, humidity, rain, snow, etc.
- Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats when needed.
- Activities may involve being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases.
- Dependability, reliability, fulfilling responsibilities.
