Title: Maintenance Lead

Location: Indianapolis, IN.
Reports To: Unit Maintenance Manager

Workplace Type: Onsite

Ingredion is hiring a Maintenance Lead who will assist department leadership at Indianapolis in achieving world-class maintenance through training, monitoring processes, aiding in process improvement initiatives, and aiding in IPS implementation. The Maintenance Specialist will provide a direct link between management and hourly (union or contracted) workforce employees regarding maintenance. The Maintenance Specialist’s overall contribution will support the site’s goal of improving reliability, reducing equipment failures, and achieving OEE goals.

What you will do:

• Assist maintenance employees with day-to-day tasks as needed.

• Evaluate and improve training / skills for employees in maintenance.

• Assist in evaluating metrics for improving department performance.

• Provide knowledge and assistance for maintenance employees during training period.

• Participate in or lead root cause analysis as needed.

• Develop and improve work instructions, standard works, etc.

• Provide knowledge and assistance for process improvement initiatives.

• Participate in and assist with department IPS implementation and further evolution.

What you will bring: ​

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Demonstrates high level of understanding of maintenance and reliability processes and practices within the department.

• Ability to analyze processes and machinery for improvement capability for/through maintenance technician and operator interaction.

• History of safe work habits

• Strong integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Who you are:

• Significant experience working in maintenance department is preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) is preferred.

• Knowledge of SAP required.
