Job Summary:• This position will support the Health and Nutrition Services Division to maximize participant access to nutrition, ensure meal service programs meet or exceed federal requirements, and advance opportunities to influence positive dietary behaviors among program participants. This will primarily be accomplished through the provision of excellent customer service, and ensuring efficient operations are followed for the onboarding and renewing of program operators. Additionally, the position will be responsible for maintaining multiple tracking logs and databases, verifying information on required forms, and will ensure electronic storage of all forms and correspondence is maintained.
• Rare in-state and out-of-state travel may be required for this position.
The Arizona Department of Education currently utilizes a hybrid work environment, with up to two days of remote work (contingent upon business needs). Candidates should apply with an ability and willingness to work in-office up to five days per week as business needs necessitate.
• Processes information on forms submitted to the department for access to systems, inputs data into tracking databases
• Maintains timely and accurate database of the Child Nutrition Program applications and notification, including, relocation and renewals
• Verifies legal and regulatory compliance of accuracy required forms, including properly identifying sponsors, locations, and document requirements
• Serves as the first point of contact and ensures professional, helpful, and timely communication is provided to inquiring customers
• Conveys formal correspondence to program operators in a clear and concise manner by phone, email and HelpDesk
• Performs administrative support tasks for all child nutrition programs administered by the Health and Nutrition Services Division
• Order, maintain, and complete In Justice for all poster requests
• Reviews incoming application materials and provides external customers with technical and programmatic support
• Ensures proper documents accompany the provider applications
• Forwards specific inquiries and requests to the assigned specialists for prompt application approval/denial
• Responds to phone and electronic inquiries on application status
• Attend staff meetings, special project meetings, and state-provided training sessions; uses established communication platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and tracking databases to communicate project progress with specialists and supervisor and take meeting notes as needed
• Conducts annual review of electronic entity files in SharePoint to ensure accuracy and completeness for all entities and uploads and tags all required docs to SharePoint in a timely manner
