Network Engineer / Infrastructure Lead

The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.

Responsibilities:

The roles and responsibilities for the Classified Infrastructure Team Lead with respect to executing the project and program aspects of position include, but are not limited to, the following:

•    Manage the day-to-day running of the infrastructure systems and networks that the students and staff of the program interact with to create, manage, and deliver the classes, including troubleshooting and scaling issues.
•    Act as the System/Network Architect; designing and proposing updates and new solutions using common applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) to document and present solutions.
•    Datacenter management to include organization, environment monitoring, power, space and cooling monitoring and establishing/maintaining rack placement, usage and documentation procedures.
•    Interact with the technical teams in the customer organization to achieve optimal technical solutions.
•    Work with other Team Leads to identify possible ways to increase efficiency and the quality of the course delivery using technical solutions.
•    Work with Infrastructure Team Members to identify and vet technologies that can push the capabilities of our tech stack forward. 
•    Assist other Champions in troubleshooting technical issues for course development, delivery and grading. 
•    Ensure Infrastructure Team ticket requests are appropriately scoped, assigned, followed up on and achievable.
•    Ensure that there is clear and concise documentation for all the services, tools, and techniques that the Infrastructure Team develops.
•    Demonstrate excellent speaking and writing skills; effectively collaborate with other members of the Team and prioritize tasks under strict deadlines
•    Manage procurement for infrastructure related assets to include hardware, software, and licensing/service agreements.
•    Conduct Amentum Supervisor responsibilities:
    o    Review and approve timesheets; work with Leadership to understand and appropriately convey messages and updates regarding time charging to Team Members as needed
    o    Participate in the interview process for potential new candidates for positions on Infrastructure Team and provide feedback to the Hiring Manager and the Talent Acquisition Team; activities may include, but are not limited to, providing input for Requisitions, reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, providing completed Interview Evaluation Forms, providing support for onboarding new Team Members, etc.
    o    Conduct Quarterly Check-Ins and Annual Performance Reviews with direct reports, as well as work with Team Members throughout the year to discuss/provide feedback, conduct frequent informal check-ins, and provide professional development opportunities; address any potential issues early as well as provide corrective and/or development planning as needed
    o    Participate and facilitate periodic sessions with Team Members and Team Leadership to ensure effective communication is occurring regarding tasking, priorities, issues/concerns, team morale, team updates, etc.
    o    Review Amentum and Customer-related communications, updates, etc. and ensure that Team Members are informed and aware of information in a timely manner

    o     feedback, conduct freque
