Role Overview:
The Senior Solution Architect (SA) is responsible for the architecture of global enterprise solutions supporting the Hiring and Employee Experience value stream. The Senior SA is also responsible for ensuring that solution architectures meet the requirements of projects and also aligns with the Enterprise Architecture roadmap. The Senior SA works with business and IT groups to ensure business processes are enabled by standard and supported technologies with the appropriate level of enterprise integration and –ilities (e.g. reliability, manageability, scalability, etc.). The Senior SA works with process and project team leaders to provide a cross-functional architectural view, bridging the gap between various teams and projects to make sure the solution architecture is integrated end-to-end. The Senior SA also partners with various stakeholders to support Business Architecture and Data Architecture vision and strategy.
As a member of the Architecture & Innovation team, this employee will support defining architecture principles, standards, data models, and reference patterns for re-use. They will be a member of the Enterprise Architecture Review Board and responsible for collaborating with other architects on best practices in the Architecture Community of Practice.
This employee will support the Employee Success (ES) Business Partner Group (BPG). Their primary focus will be to provide guidance for the Hiring and Develop & Grow solutions. Key initiatives include Talent Candidate Relationship Management and improving Employee Experience.
Responsibilities:
Develop architecture artifacts to improve business architecture, with a focus on innovation and agility
Align BT strategy and planning with application development and business roadmaps
Provide ongoing architecture review and design support to cross-functional teams
Liaise with management and domain experts across the industry and within the organization to accomplish objectives
Systems Design: Specify and design solutions across business areas or systems. Evaluate and undertake impact analyses and present different design options on all major design projects and assess associated risks. Ensure that the system design balances functional, service quality, monitoring, observability, security, and systems management requirements.
Buy/Build Decision Leadership: Lead efforts for new software selection including development of RFI/RFP, review and evaluation of commercial software solutions, lead proof of concepts and development of evaluation matrix through final recommendation, including hands-on execution where needed.
Define, maintain, and lead architecture models, frameworks and artifacts (e.g. current and future state application architecture diagrams, data models, etc.).
Business Process Improvement: Analyze multi-functional business processes; identify alternative solutions, assess feasibility, and recommend new approaches via technology enablement. Contribute to evaluating the factors that must be addressed in organizational change.
