<p><strong>Anne Arundel Medical Center</strong></p><p>Title:&nbsp; Clinical Educator / Specialist - Respiratory</p><p>Department:&nbsp; Respiratory Care Services</p><p>Reports To:&nbsp; Manager - Respiratory Therapy</p><p>Cost Center/Job Code:&nbsp; 20000-20023-000471</p><p>FLSA Status:&nbsp; Exempt</p><p><strong>Position Objective:</strong></p><p>Provides respiratory therapy modalities included in the scope of practice to patients according to the department standards.</p><p><strong>Essential Job Duties:</strong></p><p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions</p><ol><li>Provides clinical respiratory care as required, using respiratory care equipment and modalities in all levels of respiratory care patients (NICU, Peds, and Adults).</li><li>Coordinates clinical respiratory care to assure appropriateness and effectiveness of care of assigned responsibilities.</li><li>Oversees departmental supervisory personnel and professional staff in clinical activities and participates in quality monitoring, patient evaluation and related activities in accordance with departmental standards.</li><li>Participates in revising Respiratory Care Services policies, procedures, and standards as requested.</li><li>Directs on-the-job training and participates in planning and conducting orientation and in-service programs consistent with performance objectives.</li><li>Directs clinical quality assurance and utilization review activities; monitors compliance with departmental standards of care. Participates in evaluating clinical performance of the staff.</li><li>Conducts intradepartmental and interdepartmental in-service and continuing education, including CPR certification and maintains records of these activities.</li><li>Participates in departmental process improvement initiatives (huddle, metrics, innovative ideas, etc).</li><li>Participates in other designated projects or roles under the direction of Respiratory Care Services leadership.</li><li>Exhibits qualities that are consistent with the organization’s 7 core values.</li></ol><p><strong>Educational/Experience Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Required: Bachelor’s Degree.</li><li>Registered Respiratory Therapist as credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care with current State of Maryland Licensure or eligibility as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.</li><li>Experience in pediatric and adult critical and general respiratory care procedures.
