Summary
The Air Import Senior Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the air import operations and leading a team of import specialists. The role involves ensuring that all import shipments are processed accurately and efficiently, and that customer service is maintained at a high level. The Air Import Senior Team Lead is also responsible for building strong relationships with customers and other stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the air import operations, ensuring that all shipments are processed accurately and efficiently.
- Lead a team of import specialists, providing coaching and mentoring as needed.
- Build strong relationships with customers and other stakeholders.
- Ensure that customer service is maintained at a high level.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements as needed.
- Manage import compliance, ensuring that all regulations and requirements are met.
- Resolve issues and conflicts that arise during the import process.
- Collaborate with other teams and departments as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Educational background / Work experience
- A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in air import operations, with at least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Strong knowledge of air import regulations and requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software.
