Patient Services Specialist - Registration

This position is responsible for all related duties as they pertain to patient access into the Providence Seaside Health System. The Registrar is a member of a team whose purpose is to provide Providence Health System superior service in preforming multiple functions. General responsibilities are reception of patients, switchboard and paging systems, scheduling of clinic and hospital activities, registering all patients, obtaining appropriate demographics, insurance and medical information for inpatient and outpatient status, including surgery, emergency room, lab, referred lab, radiology, Providence North Coast Clinic, dermatology, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, and home health, visiting specialists.

Required Qualifications:

• 1 year experience in customer service or healthcare registration
• Clerical and computer experience

Preferred Qualification:

• Healthcare experience in a hospital or clinical setting, health insurance or medical office

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
