Job Duties

Performs proper charges/credits for medications, supplies and devices. Completes and submits end of the month billing to all payor sources. Communicates/interacts with responsible parties to explain billing and facilitate payment to DMVCC. Communicates/interacts with payor’s to setup accounts and facilitate payment to DMVCC. Communicates/Interacts with residents and families to obtain payor sources that best suit the needs of each resident. Compiles monthly reports as requested by the Pharmacy Manager.
Resolves problems with QS/1 “billing” software. Advises the Pharmacy Manager of billing problems/issues.

Performs morning run to nursing units, retrieving new and refill orders and other paperwork

Performs other duties as may be assigned that are within the Pharmacy department’s mission and as situations warrant in meeting the overall needs of the facility.

Prepares invoices for payment and sends them to the Administrator for approval.

May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

Minimum Qualifications

Computer skills. Previous QS/1 “billing” software experience.

Excluding current DVS employees, the selected candidate MUST pass a criminal background check. and pre-employment drug screening and two TB Skin Tests are required.

Salaries for current state employees will be determined according to the current state compensation plan.
