We are seeking an Instructional Designer and Deployment Specialist to join our team.
Job Summary
The Instructional Designer & Deployment Specialist is a member of the Customer Education team and is responsible for initiating content gathering for developing training materials in various forms. This position provides analytics for all training initiatives and manages all customer registrations, schedules, and provisioning within Customer Education. The role provides technical and hands-on support to clinicians utilizing Imprivata products at their organizations. The Deployment portion of the role will be onsite at various customer locations for up to 50% of the time.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assess the current content/portfolio and perform gap analysis.
- Participate in LMS administration and content publishing based on customer subscriptions.
- Incorporate proven adult learning principles in all learning plans and asset development, working with the Instructional Design team within Customer Education.
- Develop standardized course materials using pre-defined corporate templates, tools and approved methodologies.
- Review course evaluations and document recommendations and product updates into courseware as products evolve.
- Work with management to meet overall goals of the Educational Services department and Imprivata.
- Maintain and create training documentation to provide self-guided learning for new features and configurations.
- Enroll users in various authentication methods using Imprivata software.
- Install hardware devices, such as USB based authentication devices.
- Install mobile software on IOS and Android Devices.
- Provide training assistance to clinicians on Imprivata software and hardware on various devices.
- Troubleshoot basic technical and software issues and escalate to Implementation Engineers.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience designing and developing e-learning software content.
- Experience with eLearning development tools Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate; and ancillary creation tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects).
- Has strong educational acumen and is well-versed on instructional best practices for the modern learner.
- Experience with escalation management using strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems.
- Experience with technology solutions applied to privacy, compliance and security use cases.
- Understanding and experience working in a hospital environment.
Working Conditions
Office Environment/Remote Office Environment and Deployment activities may be working in various hospital departments at an Imprivata client site. These departments may be in secure areas, may require specialized clothing over work clothing, and may require patient confidentiality. The typical work week will consist of four or five 8-hour days with an additional one hour for lunch. There may be a variety of working shifts, which would be determined in advance of assignment such as 6am – 3pm or 12pm – 9pm.
