Senior Program Manager, Cloud Vendor Relationship Management

Overview
We are seeking a Senior Program Manager with a strong procurement, strategic sourcing, and contract negotiation background to lead enterprise vendor relationship management across critical technology and cloud partners. This role is accountable for governing high value vendor portfolios, leading complex commercial negotiations, optimizing cost structures, and ensuring vendor performance aligns with Enterprise Technology and Security objectives.

The successful candidate will bring deep experience managing large scale vendor contracts, influencing vendor behavior, and driving favorable economic and risk outcomes for the firm.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Vendor and Contract Ownership • Serve as the primary enterprise owner for strategic technology and cloud vendors, including AWS, Azure, GCP, and other critical providers
• Own vendor relationships from a commercial and contractual standpoint, acting as the single point of accountability for negotiations, renewals, and performance
• Represent the firm in enterprise level vendor discussions and negotiations

Procurement and Commercial Governance • Lead complex, multi year contract negotiations, renewals, amendments, and pricing discussions in partnership with Strategic Sourcing
• Govern contract structures, pricing models, licensing terms, and commercial obligations across vendor portfolios
• Drive cost optimization through pricing leverage, credits, utilization analysis, and commercial restructuring
• Ensure contracts are aligned with enterprise objectives, risk posture, and financial targets

Financial and Spend Management • Partner closely with Finance and Sourcing to manage cloud and vendor spend across operating and capital budgets
• Evaluate vendor pricing models, consumption patterns, and unit economics to support informed negotiation strategies
• Ensure financial transparency, forecasting accuracy, and accountability for vendor related spend

Service Performance and Compliance Oversight • Ensure vendors meet contractual obligations, service levels, OKRs, and regulatory requirements
• Lead remediation efforts when vendors fall short of performance or contractual commitments
• Ensure compliance with third party and fourth party risk standards in partnership with Risk Management

Cross Functional Leadership • Partner with Strategic Sourcing on statements of work, rate cards, and commercial frameworks
• Collaborate with Risk to manage vendor risk assessments, controls, and ongoing oversight
• Engage senior technology, security, and finance stakeholders to align vendor outcomes with enterprise priorities

Recurring Activities • Lead vendor governance forums, business reviews, and renewal planning cycles
• Review contract performance, pricing effectiveness, and savings opportunities
• Manage escalation paths for vendor performance, compliance, or commercial issues
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for vendor contracts and performance

Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
• Significant experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or commercial vendor management roles
• Demonstrated experience leading high value contract negotiations and renewals
• Experience overseeing vendor portfolios exceeding $50MM annually
• Strong understanding of cloud pricing models, licensing structures, and consumption based economics
• Proven ability to influence vendors and internal stakeholders at senior and executive levels
• Experience working in a regulated industry preferred
• Ability to operate independently, apply sound judgment, and manage complex vendor issues
