The Impact You’ll Make
The person in this position will be responsible for leading a team within Conductor Etch Product Group. You will lead a Process Team supporting a key Lam customer. Your team will support the development of new or modified process formulations, definition of processing or handling equipment requirements and specifications, review of processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication and evaluation of semiconductors. The role will work collaboratively with various functional groups within the Product and Technology Groups. The person will work to effectively communicate and champion pathfinding needs (internally) Additionally, you will analyze customer technology trends and requirements and identify opportunities for increasing customer and business value through product differentiation.
What You’ll Do
Key responsibilities of the position include but not limited to:
- Strategic focus
- Maintain detailed knowledge of customer process flows
- Continually maintain an analysis of customer flow to identify opportunities for Lam to add value to the customer
- Align strategies and tactics with marketing, business development, product managers, program managers, and PL head. Primarily through bimonthly review, but should be on as needed basis.
- Execute plans successfully
- Initiate and manage JDP programs which mutually benefit Lam and the customer
- Co-ordinate and be involved in demo and productivity activity in Fremont relating to the customer
- Responsibilities may include running the demo or at least reviewing results and demo report with demo engineer
- Penetration of new applications; defense of existing applications
- Development of new technology
- Alignment with production owner
- Ensure successful qualification of applications at customer site
Who We’re Looking For
To qualify for this exciting position, you will need:
- Solid Etch process development background and track record of success
- Specific technical experience we are looking for: High aspect ratio etching, physics, surface chemistry
- Master’s degree in a field such as chemistry, materials science, or physics or equivalent experience in areas such as device fabrication, chemical vapor deposition or semiconductor yield engineering. A Ph.D. is a plus but not required.
- 10+ years of related experience in wafer process equipment startups and sustaining at customer sites
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for customer interaction are a must
- Decision making; strong influencing and partnering skills and an ability to develop relationships and work effectively with customers with strong presentation skills
- Ability to develop and execute plans, consistently delivering expected business results and working effectively in a changing environment sometimes filled with ambiguity.
- Strong initiative with a willingness to take ownership and drive a project to completion coupled with strong process and systemic thinking capabilities
- An ability to establish rapport and earn trust representing us to the customer
- Collaboration; extremely good at balancing between focusing on own area of responsibilities and contributing across Lam and effectively aligns stakeholders who have disparate views and agendas in support of a course of action
- Travel - This job requires customer contact; approximately 20- 25% of the time.
