The Sales Supervisor is responsible for managing and working with Lowe’s Business Unit Part Time Store Associates to grow sales and service customers in the paint department at Lowe’s. The Sales Supervisor will have direct responsibility for 10-30 part-time employees within the assigned geography, with primary responsibilities in the hiring, training and development and daily management of the PT associates.
The Sales Supervisor is required to work directly with their RSM/RPSM on strategy and vision for their assigned region to drive sales and development of the PT Sales team.

Sales
- Grow top line sales within assigned region by identifying trends, executing promotions, training and other opportunities to RSM/PSM based on industry and competitor insights.
- Establish strong selling relationships with Lowe’s store level leadership (Store Manager, Pro and Paint Department Supervisors, Assistant Managers etc)
- Continually partner with Pro and Paint Department and SSR/PSR team to evaluate sales, opportunities and to promote and represent the brand and product strengths to Lowes associates, customers/contractors discerning competitive advantage and competitor’s weaknesses.
- Utilize provided tools and technology to document sales activity.
- Partner with RSM/PSM to accomplish and prepare the Annual Grow Plan (AGP) for the region that meets or exceed sales & profit goals.
People Development & Training
- Onboard and train Part-time Store Associates on products, systems, tools, and equipment. Product knowledge training should include proper demo execution, selling skills, product features, benefits, etc.
- Ensure Boost Completion and Compliance for all part-time Store Associates.
- Continuously evaluate team and provide impactful actionable feedback on performance; provide guidance in career progression and facilitate talent development of assigned team.
- Provide guidance on how to partner with Part-time Store Associates and appropriate individual(s) regarding all formal training sessions, providing guidance and support.
Management
- Direct management responsibility of Part-time Store Associates within the Region.
- Deliver cost effective and profitable solutions, responding quickly to all issues and opportunities.
- Performance management and employee development of Store Associates through regular coaching/feedback, Sher-coach, performance appraisals, boost compliance, etc.
- Optimize part-time employee schedules to align staffing with peak sales periods while ensuring accountability by monitoring and verifying that scheduled hours are worked as planned.
Interviewing/Onboarding
- Responsible for participating in the hiring & selection of employees.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition Recruitment team and RSM/PSM to identify needs for store and ensure best candidate is selected
- Responsible for onboarding part time employees prior to and on day one. This includes but not limited to:
- Completing all prestart activities & Ensuring Guardian is completed on day one of hire
- Meeting the new Part Time employee in their assigned store to set expectations & Review the Scheduling and Expectations Letter
Communication & Leadership
- Effectively build and strengthen relationships with all levels of Lowe’s Field Management within the region.
- Foster a safety-minded culture through the development and implementation of safe working, driving and operational procedures.
