The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining reporting solutions that improve operational visibility, performance tracking, and decision-making across our electronics manufacturing operations. This role focuses on building Power BI dashboards and analytical tools that support areas such as production performance, work-in-process (WIP), inventory visibility, planning, quality, and overall operational health.


The BI Analyst will partner closely with IT to access, model, and secure data through platforms such as Snowflake and Power BI, ensuring data accuracy and alignment with business requirements. Success in this role requires strong analytical capability, attention to detail, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams across the organization.


What a Day Looks Like:

Reporting & Dashboard Development

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards for operational visibility (e.g., WIP, inventory, capacity, production flow, quality metrics, planning indicators, and other key manufacturing KPIs).
  • Create data models to support analysis across multiple functions.
  • Iterate on report designs based on user feedback to ensure clarity, accuracy, and usability.

Data Integration & Collaboration with IT

  • Partner directly with IT to access required datasets and ensure appropriate governance for sensitive manufacturing and customer data.
  • Collaborate with IT on Snowflake and other data-warehouse environments to structure data for reporting needs.
  • Validate data availability, completeness, and quality required for accurate analytics.

Business Requirements & Cross-Functional Engagement

  • Work with leaders and teams across production, quality, engineering, supply chain, finance, and program management to gather reporting requirements.
  • Translate operational needs into scalable BI solutions and standardized metrics.
  • Provide ongoing support, enhancements, and troubleshooting to maintain high adoption and usefulness.

Data Quality & Governance

  • Monitor and validate data accuracy across reporting sources.
  • Identify data gaps or inconsistencies and partner with IT and process owners to address them.
  • Maintain documentation for datasets, report logic, metric definitions, and access rules.

Operational & Strategic Analytics Support

  • Support leadership with ad hoc analysis and structured data insights for operational reviews, planning cycles, and performance assessments.
  • Develop repeatable and automated reporting processes that reduce manual effort and standardize information across sites.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience building dashboards or operational reports (Power BI preferred).
  • Proficiency with SQL and relational databases.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical reporting solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience modeling datasets.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • U.S. Citizenship required due to defense-related data

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with reporting or data analytics in a manufacturing environment (electronics manufacturing or EMS preferred).
  • Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud-based data-warehouse technologies.
  • Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, or other compliance-driven environments.
  • Understanding of production, quality, and operational performance metrics.
  • Experience with lean, continuous improvement, or KPI standardization.
