As a Systems Engineer I, you'll immerse yourself in the intricacies to support a team that produces products that are vital to national defense.
You do not have to have previous experience; we will provide the training and tools to help grow the skills you will need. You will learn from the best and brightest in the communications and nuclear deterrence domain. This position is located in Richardson, TX.
What You Will Do:
Creation, decomposition, and tracing of requirements for network, compute, or communications systems on military platforms, both air and ground applications.
Work with a model-based systems engineering application to create the logical and physical design diagrams.
Perform integration and testing for these complex solutions.
Support future bids and proposals providing new business opportunities.
What You Will Learn:
How to create SysML diagrams using model-based systems engineering (MBSE) applications.
How to use requirements management tools, such as JAMA.
How to write and execute test cases for communications solutions.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
Engineering graduates with a high level of understanding of both hardware and software design concepts, especially, as they pertain to communications solutions.
High level understanding of communication theory, networking, and/or digital processing.
Experience working in a highly collaborative technical environment.
Knowledge of Python, MATLAB, or other computer software languages.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience working with Electro-optical and/or infrared imaging sensor systems and/or display systems
Knowledge of advanced electro-optical systems to include imaging systems in multiple spectral bands, and digital image processing.
Knowledge of advanced display technologies, to include experience with micro-display and projection technologies
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
Preferred applicants will currently hold a DoD Secret (or above) security clearance, or have held one within the past two years.
Willing to travel up to 10%
