Job Summary
The Regional Director of Sales will lead and grow our sales efforts across the country. This strategic role is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding our client base, and adding new accounts in all regions. This individual is expected to provide sales leadership, cultivate relationships at all levels, and harness a passion for building a high-performance sales organization. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and willing to take initiative while contributing to a team environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Works to promote Medicare insurance carriers to provide products and services to independent insurance agents
- Provides outstanding service and support while establishing new and existing relationships
- Works with the Vice President to host calls/meetings to recruit new or existing agents and agencies
- Build strategy for current recruitment footprint and desired growth markets
- Develop and implement the national sales strategy to achieve aggressive growth targets across all regions of the U.S.
- Identify key opportunities and focus areas for expanding the customer base and increasing market penetration
- Lead efforts to secure new accounts, build relationships with potential clients, and create new business opportunities.
- Utilizing DT6 process to introduce new and existing relationships to Agent Pipeline
- Focus on apps to gain with each new and existing relationship
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs and position the company’s products/services effectively
- Drive regional sales performance and ensure proper support for account acquisition and retention
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring exceptional service and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling
- Act as a primary point of contact for high-level client negotiations and key partnerships
- Meets or exceeds monthly KPI, production growth, DT6/target identification
- Monitor and report on sales performance, trends, and KPI’s. KPI’s to include proposed/approved travel, DT6 calls, apps to gain aggregation
- Provide regular updates to the Executive team on progress toward goals and forecast future sales growth
- Works closely with marketing, product, and service teams to align sales strategies with company offerings, ensure product/service improvements, and enhance client satisfaction
Primary Skills & Requirements:
- Proven experience in sales leadership, with a track record of growing external sales and acquiring new business on a national scale
- Strong ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies and processes across multiple regions
- Demonstrated success in building and maintaining relationships with key decision makers at all levels of an organization
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and drive revenue growth in a competitive market
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to analyze market trends, forecast sales, and adjust strategies accordingly
- Results oriented with a focus on driving measurable sales outcomes
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Adaptable to changing market conditions and customer needs
- A high level of integrity and professionalism in all interactions
- High school diploma or undergraduate degree. Industry experience may be substituted for educational qualification
- 10+ years experience in insurance marketing and sales
- Demonstrated experience in effectively managing and motivating independent insurance agents
- Prior experience with data collection research and analysis strongly preferred
- Possesses basic computer navigation skills and knowledge or familiarity of basic computer programs/applications including but not limited to email, word processing, spreadsheet programs, internet, Adobe, etc.
