Position Overview

The Illinois Department of Public Health is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as Informatics Lead technician who conducts studies involving large scale technical research and administrative analysis of communicable diseases and other core public health core functions in order to analyze administrative and agency functions for the development of standard operating procedures (SOP), informatics solutions and related materials.

Job Responsibilities

1.  Develops standardized operating procedures and forms for the Division of Infectious Diseases for statewide application and installation.  

• Works with subject matter experts in the Communicable Diseases, Tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS and STD Sections to develop informatics solutions including written operating procedures.
• Conducts necessary research to assist subject matter experts with the development of the background and need for informatics solutions, based on operating procedures’ workflow.
