Job Description:                     

Provides clinical nursing care for individuals experiencing behavioral health, substance use, and/or crisis episodes of varying acuity. Participates in the care of individuals through assessment, evaluation, crisis interventions, referrals, development and implementation of treatment plans and outcome-based goals. Works as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Essential Functions:   

1. Provides a full range of stabilization services to support individuals living with a variety of medical and behavioral health needs.
2. Completes health assessments, medical histories, medication reconciliation and administration, and for individuals seeking or receiving care in collaboration with members of the care team.
3. Provides intervention, supportive health counseling, and de-escalation of for individuals in need of and/or requesting care.
4. Provides health education to individuals and groups on somatic conditions, medication compliance, and activities of daily living.
5. Reconciles, orders, administers, and maintains medications and medical supplies for the continuous provision and delivery of care.
6. Partners with individuals receiving or seeking care, advocating for their needs, preferences, and goals.
7. Serves as a liaison as assigned and appropriate to facilitate communication and care continuity with internal and external partners and/or stakeholders.
8. Demonstrate adherence to company policies and expectations, and behavioral competencies, both explicit and implicit.
9. All tasks, projects, and/or duties as assigned and authorized, as determined by Human Resources and Direct Supervisor to be congruent with the role.

Education:                              

Associates Degree in Nursing (ASN), Required

Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN), Preferred

Experience:                            

1 year work / educational experience in Mental health / Psychiatry

Six months of recent experience as a clinical nurse, Preferred

Additional:                             

Valid and unrestricted driver’s license, Required

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Products, Required

Proficiency and familiarity with EHR/EMR systems, Required

Credentials:                           

Current RN licensure in the State of Maryland, Required

Current BLS Certification, Required

Physical Demands:                

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer workstation.

Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and reaching.

Must be able to lift weights up to 50 pounds at times.
