Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 3 in office days a week
Working Location: Indianapolis, IN
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Supplier Quality Engineer. What you will be doing:
- Support and lead (where appropriate) the deployment of the Quality strategy for the aligned business area to achieve its goals, enhance its reputation and deliver customer satisfaction
- Development and deployment of Quality capability (skills & knowledge) and culture of the aligned business to meet future regulatory, customer and business requirements
- Deploy metrics, key performance indicators; ensure appropriate governance and support is in place within the aligned business area to drive Quality performance to meet requirements, business goals and enhance its reputation
- Understand relevant law / regulation, customer requirements and business area strategy; support definition and implementation of the associated compliance strategy into the Operating System (process, culture & leadership, governance & risk etc...) and SABRe
- Support of the Assurance plan and in partnership with the risk owners, provide proactive assurance that regulatory, business and customer requirements will be met
- Drive change to the Operating System (process, culture & leadership, governance & risk etc.) and SABRe to mitigate risks, maximize effectiveness and eliminate cost / waste through insight obtained from proactive assurance and problem themes
- Protect the business and customer through performing, managing and coaching of problem containment and resolution, to minimize impact and to ensure the necessary corrective and preventative actions are completed and verified in a timely manner
- Enable the aligned business to deliver the goal of Zero Defects through the coaching and application of defect prevention methodologies, reducing the risks from technical, human and organizational factors to our products
- In support of the Supplier Quality Manager, assess prospective suppliers for suitability, fit and capability in respect to the commodity / sourcing strategy. As part of the Supplier Management Team, drive supplier maturity and improvement to deliver performance that enables the business to achieve its goals and enhance its reputation, support CP Audits for SABRe and external standards.

Basic Requirements:
- Associate degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or Operations and 4+ years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or operations and 2+ years of experience OR
- Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or other discipline, OR
- JD/PhD
- In lieu of degree, 6+ years of experience within engineering, program management, logistics or supply chain
- In order to be considered for this position for location based in the US, you must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident
Preferred Requirements:
- Professionally qualified with relevant experience in quality and aerospace industry
- Ideally, have a broad knowledge of product through the life-cycle
- Have knowledge and understanding of airworthiness regulations
- Knowledge of problem solving and continuous improvement methodologies, eg; Six Sigma, Lean & 8D
- Ability to influence and assess the related Quality implications in a challenging programme and customer environment
- Well-developed customer and relationship management skills to work as part of the Business and Quality Leadership team, and with other
