Peraton is seeking a Senior IT Operations Manager to lead enterprise operations in support of the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Infrastructure Managed Services (IMS) program. This individual will oversee the delivery of secure, high-availability IT services.
As a key leader on the program, you will be responsible for managing the Network Operations Center (NOC), Service Desk, Data Center Operations and coordinating with the Enterprise Operations Center (EOC) to ensure operational readiness, service stability, and cybersecurity posture. You’ll lead integrated teams focused on managing events, incidents, problems, and changes, while maintaining a secure and resilient IT infrastructure. You will also serve as the program's senior operations representative, aligning technical operations with DoD, DHS, and USCG compliance requirements.
Location: Requires On-Site work in Alexandria, VA and/or Kearneysville, WV. Must be able to travel up to 25% between key operational centers as needed.
Day to Day Work Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day operations of the Network Operations Center (NOC), Service Desk, Data Center Operations, and coordinate with the Enterprise Operations Center (EOC) to ensure 24/7 network and system availability, stability, and performance across the enterprise.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs), operational metrics, and service-level agreements (SLAs) to drive accountability and transparency.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of IT professionals including system administrators, network engineers, and SMEs delivering end-to-end enterprise IT support.
- Manage Command Center operations, ensuring alignment with event, incident, problem, and change management frameworks.
- Oversee incident detection, escalation, and resolution processes, ensuring rapid response and minimal service disruption.
- Manage and optimize operational work-flows, including Event, Incident, Problem, and Change Management, aligned with ITIL best practices.
- Oversee all aspects of NOC service delivery with a focus on high availability, fault tolerance, and proactive monitoring.
- Provide workforce education and mentoring to maintain the IT operations, IT System Administration, and Network Engineering culture across programs.
- Serve as the Designated Representative for the Program and Deputy Program Manager to lead IT Incident resolution and representative in their absence.
- Develop and maintain network and system dashboards for real-time operational and cyber metrics to support enterprise decision-making.
- Manage infrastructure and operational support across Windows, Linux, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Provide mentoring and continuous workforce development across IT operations disciplines.
- Serve as the Program Manager’s delegate for IT incident response and coordination with government stakeholders.
- Multitask effectively between program projects, subcontractor personnel, and project civil servant community.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 12 years of overall IT experience, including leading IT operations environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering or related field.
- Active Top-Secret clearance required to be considered.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain TS/SCI.
- 10 years of experience managing complex IT Infrastructure environments.
- 10 years of experience in network operations and systems management platforms and solutions.
- Proven experience managing large-scale enterprise IT teams supporting federal programs.
- Experience interfacing with senior government leadership and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity frameworks, including RMF, DISA STIGs, and DODIN security policies.
- Required Certifications:
- ITIL v4 Specialist
- DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level II certification (e.g., CAP, CASP+, CISM, or CISSP)
- Certified TBM Executive (CTBME) (able to obtain within 6 months)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leading IT operations in DoD or DHS environments.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement, security automation, and operational resilience.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Previous experience working in dynamic large scale DoD IT environments.
