The Role
We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Staff Data Analyst to join our Analytics team at ZenBusiness. As a Staff Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing marketing data to provide actionable insights and recommendations that drive strategic decisions and optimize marketing campaigns. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on marketing strategies, leveraging your expertise in data analysis and interpretation.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Insights: Collaborate with marketing and product stakeholders to understand their objectives and translate them into actionable analytical tasks and projects. Partner with cross-functional teams to align data analysis efforts with broader business strategies, ensuring impactful and relevant insights.
- Campaign Experimentation and A/B Testing: Design and execute A/B tests and other experimental frameworks to rigorously evaluate marketing initiatives. Analyze test results to provide actionable recommendations, ensuring continuous improvement of marketing tactics.
- Marketing Attribution and Lead Conversion Metrics: Apply robust marketing attribution models to assess the contribution of different channels and touchpoints to lead conversion. Track and analyze lead conversion metrics to identify trends, uncover insights, and optimize the marketing funnel for better conversion rates.
- Forecasting and Predictive Modeling: Utilize statistical techniques and predictive modeling to forecast trends, predict outcomes, and identify potential opportunities for optimization. Develop and refine models to enhance the precision of marketing forecasts and improve the effectiveness of marketing strategies.
- Data Analysis and Interpretation: Dive deep into datasets to extract meaningful insights and trends related to customer behavior, campaign performance, and market dynamics.
- Dashboard Development: Design and maintain dashboards using tools like Tableau and Snowflake to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights to stakeholders. Ensure dashboards are user-friendly and accessible to various levels of the organization, supporting data-driven decision-making processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify areas for process improvement in marketing data collection, analysis, and reporting to streamline operations and enhance efficiency. Implement best practices for data governance and ensure data integrity and accuracy across all marketing datasets.
- Communication and Presentation: Present findings, insights, and recommendations in a clear and compelling manner to non-technical audiences, influencing strategic decisions at various levels of the organization. Prepare detailed reports and visualizations that effectively communicate complex analytical concepts to a broad audience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field; holding a Master’s degree is a bonus.
- A well-rounded background with 10+ years in data analysis, including substantial experience in a role centered around marketing analysis.
- Proven knowledge of marketing operations and campaign analysis.
- In-depth experience working with SQL preferably with Snowflake. Nice to have experience using dbt.
- Demonstrated expertise in traffic analysis tools like Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Adobe Analytics.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and building Tableau, Mixpanel & LaunchDarkly dashboards or similar experience with other BI tools.
- Experience in Data Observability and anomaly detection with tools like Monte Carlo and Metaplane.
