About the role
Wood is currently seeking the right candidate to join our team as a Field Superintendent for our Dry Willow, Carbon Creek Energy project located in the Powder River Basin area between Gillette Wyoming and Buffalo Wyoming.
- Oversee daily operations of all field personnel;
- Manage down well workover plans;
- Understand production forecasts and targets; communicate them with the client;
- Maintain in-field hands on presence;
- Collect concerns and issues from field personnel and filter to management as appropriate;
- Coordinate 3rd party work for special projects (blower installs, etc);
- Work with the Accounting Dept. to manage budget tracking and delivery to the client;
- Gather issues and information from field and deliver to client;
- Ensure inspections are completed, conduct quality control content and follow-up on repairs as needed;
- Manage scheduling of personnel;
- Clean and maintain or remove erosion control devices as needed (silt logs, silt fences, matting, etc.);
- Keep vehicles and equipment clean and organized.
- Communicate regularly with client providing updates and feedback;
- Communicate with compressor companies to maintain relations;
- Always wear appropriate PPE (FRC, hard hat, steel toed shoes/boots, safety glasses and hearing protection) as appropriate;
- Wear gas detection monitors and check for gas prior to entering any hut or building;
- Drive appropriately for the conditions, always wear seat belt, do not use phones in any way while operating a vehicle;
- Adhere to lock-out/tag-out procedures when opening any piping or working on equipment including electronics;
- Ensure all fences and guards are in place and functional;
- Complete a JSA daily and for any new task;
- Report environmental spills immediately and erosion as it is found.
- At least 5 years’ experience as a lease operator or production supervisor; 2 years of supervisory experience;
- Ability to understand gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure equipment is working properly;
- Ability to perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment;
- Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers, clients, and other external contacts;
- Ability to manage, lead and train personnel;
- Able to learn company specific applications;
- Must have a good driving record and a valid driver’s license;
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, background test and fit test.
