Mission :
For industrial investment projects within its scope, provides the equipment needed to achieve the project objectives at the best performance/cost ratio, using the standards.
Lead the pre-studies to define the most effective solutions.
Collaborate with various professionals to ensure the design or integration adheres to the appropriate business standards, quality systems, and archiving practices.
Pilot the realization, installation, and commissioning.
Key encouraged achievements
- Feasibility studies are carried out with challenged and validated CDCs, the possible solutions are evaluated from the point of view of costs, deadlines, risks, functional choice criteria.
- Integration studies are conducted in cooperation with other businesses.
- Change requests are managed according to the DE/Release process.
- The quality system and the methods of their group are implemented (risk analyzes, FMEA, design reviews, quality planning, DTE, treatment of NC, ...).
- Validations (CI, RF, RC) are acquired following the stages of realization, installation, start-up, and development of the equipment in collaboration with other relevant fields within the industry.
- Prototype projects managed by the process development teams are supported. "as built" folders up to date.
Technical requirements:
- Experienced with electrical design standards and able to complete control systems designs using standard CAD design tools and SEE ELECTRIC.
- Experienced with PLC programming standards & programming software, including GRAFCET, Ladder Logic, and Structured Text. Specific experience with Rockwell and Siemens is a plus.
- For PLCs, US7 uses Rockwell, PLC5, SLC 500, ControlLogix, and Guard Logix.
- Knowledge of the GRAFCET is rarely found outside of Michelin, making it unlikely to come across external candidates with this expertise.
- Experienced with Variable Frequency drives and Motion Control technologies. Specific experience with Rockwell, Siemens, and Control Techniques is a plus.
- Most VFDs are Control Techniques or SEW MOVIMOT at US7.
- Experienced with HMI configuration, programming, and communication. Specific experience with Rockwell is a plus.
- HMIs are all PanelView.
- Knowledge of FactoryTalk View ME Studio would be very helpful.
- Experienced with control systems network interfaces and various protocols for communications between devices including computer system databases.
- US7 systems are Data Highway +, ControlNet, and Ethernet protocols.
- Experience in Project Team Leadership or Project Management is preferred, but not required.
- Vision System configuration and interface for width measurement applications and defect detection applications is preferred, but not required. Specific experience with Cognex, Keyence, Adept, Bytewise, Gocator is a plus.
- Robotic experience, configuration, or knowledge is preferred, but not required. Specific experience with Fanuc, ABB is a plus.

- Updating electrical prints.
- Crafting and implementing modifications to existing machines.
- Designing, building, and deploying completely new systems.
- Supporting maintenance during machine optimization.
- Supporting new level 2 system integration into the level 1 automation/control.
