Basketball Ticketing & Gameday Assistant (Part-Time)

Position Overview

Ticket Office workers play a vital role in creating an easy, welcoming, and enjoyable ticket purchase and gameday experience at Hinkle Fieldhouse. With a focus on customer service, Ticket Office workers represent The Butler Way by assisting with ticketing and seating, coordinating with visiting teams, and troubleshooting ticket issues so that fans feel respected and cared for throughout their visit to Hinkle Fieldhouse.

This is a part-time role working 8-12 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Sell and process tickets using Archtics and TM One ticketing systems,
• Work with Ticket Office management and Compliance to facilitate Will Call and pass lists for visiting teams.
• Assist with general Box Office operations.
• Manage and distribute player pass list for Spirit Teams on event days.
• Assist in troubleshooting fans’ tickets via Archtics.
• Support crowd management by upholding venue policies in a professional and respectful manner.
• Report emergencies, medical concerns, or facility issues immediately to event supervisors or security staff.
• Promote a safe environment by monitoring for prohibited items or unsafe behaviors.
• Demonstrate commitment to The Butler Way by putting team success and fan safety above personal convenience.
• Participate in pre-event briefings and post-event debriefs to continuously improve service.

Required Qualifications

• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and/or holidays in alignment with Butler Athletics’ event schedule.
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Customer service experience preferred (hospitality, retail, events, etc.)
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
