Senior System Architect (Full Time; Multiple Openings)

Responsible for production software deployments and will be the go-to person for our SRE team for the ongoing 24x7 support of our RingCentral's production system.

To succeed in this role you must meet the following requirements:

• Providing server environment design and support, supply outage resolution and "break-fix" as needed).

• Supporting RingCentral's system applications and involves detecting bottlenecks in application flows, finding bugs and proposing solutions for developers.

• Supporting and building cloud-type IT environments; Supporting automating processes for migration and testing of RingCentral's system that is deployed to a public cloud.

• Taking escalations from NOC team and conducting incident investigation and automated tools development.

• Providing RingCentral's production system with stability and fail-safety, incident resolution and root cause analysis and developing internal tools for incident prediction and faster resolution.

• Implementing, maintaining and troubleshooting end-to-end server and network solutions for the enterprise.

• Assisting in RingCentral network infrastructure upgrades, maintenance and troubleshooting with the Network Operations (NetOps) team.

• Evaluating, consulting, researching and making recommendations on large technical solutions.

• Improving and simplifying RingCentral's system using container and microservice architecture approaches and consulting with Development teams in the scope of operation requirements.

• Providing a vision of the RingCentral system architecture to coworkers and knowledge in automation of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery processes using modern tools like Jenkins and Gitlab Cl.

• Performing system and web-server administration, writing scripts, engaging in network protocols and conducting remote administration of servers and network devices.

• Coordinating with Data Center Operations and Deployment teams to assist with RingCentral infrastructure and applications upgrades, maintenance and troubleshooting; Assisting with on-site and remote end user issues.

• Supporting RingCentral's premium clients with strict terms of Service Level Agreements.

Desired Qualifications:

• U.S. Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or foreign equivalent, plus two (2) years of related experience, or U.S. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field plus five (5) years of related experience, is required.

• Experience with Linux OS; Programming languages: Python, Bash, Go, and Ruby; Amazon Web Services (AWS); DevOPS instruments: Ansible, Gitlab, Jenkins, and CI/CD; Monitoring services: InfluxDB stack, VictoriaMetrics, Zabbix, CloudWatch, and Grafana; Log processing services: ELK Stack, Fluentd/FluentBit, Vector by DataDog; TCP/HTTP balancing services: HaProxy, Nginx, Keepalived, and AWS ALB/NLB; Apachke Kafka; and CaaS platform is required.
