The ideal candidate will have experience in phlebotomy and patient recruitment, with a passion for contributing to cutting-edge clinical trials that advance medical knowledge and improve patient outcomes. Responsibilities:
IMA Clinical Research is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Research Assistant to join our team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have experience in phlebotomy and patient recruitment, with a passion for contributing to cutting-edge clinical trials that advance medical knowledge and improve patient outcomes. Responsibilities:
- Support study coordinators with administrative and operational tasks to ensure smooth study execution.
- Recruit, screen, and schedule potential study participants through phone outreach, community engagement, and database management.
- Conduct vital study-related procedures, including collecting vital signs, EKGs, patient interviews, and medical record reviews.
- Perform phlebotomy, manage lab specimen collection, processing, and shipping in accordance with study protocols.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date regulatory and study documentation to ensure compliance with sponsor and FDA requirements.
- Assist in managing patient visit scheduling and follow-up communications.
- Answer and triage research office calls, providing professional and helpful assistance to patients and clinical partners.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Research Team to promote patient retention and ensure a positive study experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in a health or science-related field preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in a medical office, research, or clinical setting required.
- Phlebotomy experience required.
- Prior experience in patient recruitment or community outreach is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and familiarity with CRIO or other research databases preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills with a proactive approach to learning and teamwork.
