We are looking for a Royalty Operations Analyst to join our Royalty Data - Analytics & Reporting team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of Royalty Operations at SoundCloud and how artists get compensated for their work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the collection and processing of royalty statements from 60+ streaming platforms and other digital partners on a monthly basis.

  • Assist with preparation of reconciliation summary, detail, and supporting documentation for approval purposes.

  • Identify areas of underreporting and/or opportunities for tracking and develop a systematic approach to monitor and collect in these areas.

  • Provide internal support and knowledge for earnings and payment-related issues.

  • Provide ad hoc reporting, analysis, and recommendations for various stakeholders based off of royalty data.

Experience and Background:

  • At least 3 years of experience at a distributor, record label, publisher,  multi-channel network, or DSP is preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is preferred.

  • Proficiency in Excel.

  • Ability to adapt to new tools and processes in order to gather and analyze royalty data.

  • Proven ability to provide clear, accurate reporting and present findings to a wider group.

  • Detail-oriented, inquisitive, problem solver with a commitment to delivering an excellent payment and reporting experience to our artists and our team.

  • Familiarity with technical subjects such as SQL querying, Jupyter notebooks, and command line tools are nice to have, but not required.
