Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking an Endpoint Protection Security Lead to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/ Transportation Security Administration (TSA) customer. Additionally, the role will lead the Endpoint Protection Engineer team and must have solid technical skills and experience to manage a small team of professionals in the daily administration and troubleshooting of Host Based Security System on endpoints and scanning and identification and remediation of vulnerabilities in accordance with Government compliance and cybersecurity guidelines. Endpoint protection administrators troubleshoot and resolve problems on endpoints and servers as well as conduct compliance scans to identify security issues and patch compliance.
Day to Day Work Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of endpoint security analysts providing support to component security operations center and managing the endpoint security system.
- Provide Information Assurance support to the systems and users to ensure applicable military regulations, procedures, and policies are adhered to under guidance of Information Security System Manager (ISSM).
- Provide Risk Management Framework (RMF) support of government IT systems.
- Assist with the development, review, and modification of local Information Assurance (IA) related policies, procedures, and processes pertaining to endpoint security management.
- Review security configurations, audit logs, and patch status of government systems.
- Develop system baseline, upgrades & innovations, policies & procedures, and system documentation & regulations under cyber security aspects.
- Achieve successful Accreditation & Authorization to Operate (ATO) for identified systems.
- Perform cyber security and FISMA Compliance relevant system monitoring.
- Supporting Endpoint management and desktop computing technology.
- Providing remote support for deployed VTC endpoints.
- Installing, configuring, integrating, testing, maintaining, operating, and provisioning IM&P servers and endpoints.
- Supporting Endpoint, OS, software, and patch deployment services.
- Supporting the installation of flat panel displays, room based VTC endpoints, projectors, and A/V equipment.
- Supporting Endpoint, OS, software, and patch deployment services.
- Participating in meetings and briefings as required.
- Troubleshooting Endpoint protection product issues and outages.
- Coordinating and planning authorized system interruption (ASI details), as needed.
- Maintaining system patches, as well as operating system, in accordance with Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance.
- Scanning systems and assisting the team in remediating vulnerabilities using ACAS Integrating and testing new and custom signatures on servers and workstation across the enterprise.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship and must have the ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance
- Bachelor’s degree and 8 years’ experience or Master’s degree and 6 years’ experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 12 years relevant experience
- Skill in applying total infrastructure endpoint protection; system security certification and accreditation requirements and processes; as well as Federal information systems protocols
- Knowledge of a wide range of Information Technology and Information Assurance concepts, principles and practices required to plan and direct endpoint management in a diverse extended environment
- Ability to work independently including setting priorities and coordinating work
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with employees at varying grade levels
- Ability to identify customer’s concerns, perform the tasks required to resolve the issue accurately and timely, and follow-up as necessary to ensure a satisfactory resolution
- Familiarity with Trellix (McAfee) Endpoint Security Management
- Knowledge of BMC Remedy
- Knowledge of security fundamentals
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals
- Knowledge of cloud operations
- Possess an Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundations 4 certification or the ability to obtain within one month
